Sapote is operated by Kushal Sokke Malleshappa (Kushal SM). This policy describes the information handled by Sapote when you connect it to ChatGPT and use your journal.

What Sapote receives

Sapote receives the information sent to its tools: dates, photos and file details, observations, routine or treatment notes, and other text you choose to record. Those notes and photos may contain sensitive health information. We also store your email address, a password hash (not your plain-text password), and connection information needed to associate your journal with you and authorize access. Original photo files may contain embedded metadata, such as the location or device information your camera recorded.

Connecting Sapote does not give it general access to your ChatGPT history or photo library. Sapote receives the content included in tool calls made to it.

How it is used

We use this information to save and retrieve your journal, display your photos and entries, operate your connection, and investigate problems. When you open your journal through ChatGPT, relevant entries are returned to ChatGPT so it can respond and display them.

Storage and service providers

Sapote runs on Cloudflare. Journal records are stored in Cloudflare D1 and original photos in Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare may also process images to create a preview. OpenAI operates ChatGPT and handles the conversations and files you share there under its own policies. Information may be processed in countries outside your country of residence.

Photo display uses temporary access links. Treat a working photo link as private: someone who has it may be able to open that photo until it expires.

What we do not do

We do not sell your journal information, use it for advertising, or use it to train our own AI models. This public website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

Keeping and deleting information

Journal information is kept until you delete it or request deletion. You can manage your information from your account, or request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us. Deleted entries are removed from your active journal immediately; associated files are queued for removal, and failed file removals are retried by a scheduled cleanup. Technical backups may persist according to our service providers’ retention policies. We may need to verify ownership before fulfilling a request. Disconnecting Sapote from ChatGPT does not, by itself, delete your stored journal. Deleting information in Sapote does not delete copies already present in your ChatGPT conversations.

Support and operational information

If you contact us, we receive your message and contact details. Technical error information may include operation status, file metadata, and identifiers to help investigate a failed save. Please avoid sending sensitive photos by email unless needed to resolve your request.
